This will be the final new episode of Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage for 2024. On December 19, the show will be pre-empted by an hour-long episode of Ghosts. During the winter holidays, reruns of Georgie and Mandy will air December 26 and January 2 at the usual time. Starting Thursday, January 9, the show air reruns at the later time of 9/8c as CBS airs Hollywood Squares.
Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage will return with new episodes on Thursday, January 30.

CBS announces winter premiere dates
CBS has unveiled its winter premiere dates for the 2024/25 season, including the New Year return of Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage after it takes a break starting in December.
In 2025, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage will return with new episodes starting Thursday, January 30 at 8/7c on CBS.
Earlier in the month, CBS will air a revival of the classic game show Hollywood Squares, starring Drew Barrymore and hosted by Nate Burleson, during the regular time slot of Georgie and Mandy. While Hollywood Squares occupies the 8/7c slot starting Thursday, January 9, encore reruns of Georgie and Mandy will be shown at 9/8c.
Following tonight's Thanksgiving-themed episode of Georgie and Mandy, the show will take a short break. CBS will broadcast an original holiday movie, Nugget Is Dead? A Christmas Story, next Thursday, November 21. On Thanksgiving Day itself, November 28, a rerun of "Thanksgiving" will be aired.
After the Thanksgiving break, a new episode of Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage will air Thursday, December 5.

In this episode, Young Sheldon stars Zoe Perry, Raegan Revord and Annie Potts once again return as Mary, Missy and Meemaw, respectively. For the first time, Craig T. Nelson reprises his role as Meemaw's long-term boyfriend, Dale.

CBS gives Georgie and Mandy a full season order
CBS has given a full season order to the new Young Sheldon spin-off, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, following the airing of its first two episodes. The network has added nine more episodes, a so-called "Back 9" order, bringing the total to 22 episodes for the show's first season.
"With the resounding success of THE BIG BANG THEORY and YOUNG SHELDON, we were instantly on board when Chuck, Steven and Steve brought us the idea to further explore this world through GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST MARRIAGE," said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. "The enthusiastic audience reception has demonstrated the enormous appeal of these characters and we can't wait to see all of the hilarious fun this season will undoubtedly deliver."
CBS revealed that, according to VideoAmp and Paramount+ internal data, the series premiere of Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage was watched by 10.6 million viewers in its first week across multiple platforms. Additionally, streaming on Paramount+ and the CBS.com website and app was up 72% compared to the seventh season premiere of Young Sheldon earlier this year.
This marks the second debut show CBS has extended an additional order to this season. Last week, the network ordered a second season of the Kathy Bates legal drama Matlock, after just two episodes aired. That show had already received an 18-episode order for its first season.

'Georgie and Mandy' debut tops Thursday ratings
The series premiere of Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage was the most-watched and highest-rated program on Thursday night, continuing the legacy of domination established by The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon.
The pilot episode of the Young Sheldon spin-off attracted 6.56 million viewers and garnered a 0.47 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. In comparison, the final season of Young Sheldon had averaged 7.34 million viewers and a 0.53 rating in the demo.
Georgie and Mandy had a lead of 2.4 million viewers over its competition. ABC's 9-1-1 drew 4.16 million viewers, Law & Order on NBC had 3.09 million, FOX's Hell's Kitchen had 1.48m viewers, and The CW's Scrabble had an audience of 320,000 people.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage led the competition by a tenth of a point. ABC's 9-1-1 recorded a 0.37 rating, Law & Order on NBC had 0.25 rating, Hell's Kitchen on FOX posted a 0.23 rating, and The CW's Scrabble came in with a 0.05 rating.
CBS continued to dominate the rest of the night with Ghosts at 8:30 delivering an audience of 5.57 million and a 0.47 rating, Matlock at 9 with 6.38 million viewers and a 0.36 rating, and Elsbeth at 10 with 4.76m viewers and a 0.27 rating, all ahead of the competition.
