Since the intitial report in January that a Georgie and Mandy spin-off was in development, Montana Jordan and Emily Osment were attached to the project, reprising their Young Sheldon roles as Georgie Cooper and Mandy McAllister. In May 2024, following CBS's pick-up of Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones joined the cast, reprising their roles as Mandy's parents, Jim and Audrey. In July 2024, Dougie Baldwin was cast as Connor McAllister, Mandy's younger brother, and Jessie Prez was cast as Ruben, Jim's long-serving employee at the tire store.
