Emily Osment
Emily Osment is an American actress best known for her role as Lilly Truscott on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana and its spin-off film, Hannah Montana: The Movie.
As a child actress, Osment’s earliest TV credits include guest appearances on 3rd Rock From The Sun, Touched by an Angel and Friends. From 2006 to 2011, Osment starred opposite Miley Cyrus in the Disney channel series Hannah Montana, which also spawned a spin-off film in 2009.
Osment made her film debut in the 1999 comedy-drama The Secret Life of Girls, which starred Linda Hamilton and Eugene Levy. Osment then played Gertie Giggles in the second and third installments of the Spy Kids franchise. Osment has also lent her voice to the Ice Age short Surviving Sid, the second and third Beverly Hills Chihuahua films, and has had a recurring role on the animated TV series Family Guy.
As a singer and songwriter, Osment released the song “All the Way Up” in 2009, the first song from her EP “All the Right Wrongs”. “Let’s Be Friends” was released in 2010 as the first song from her debut album, “Fight or Flight”. That same year, Osment toured behind the album, performing concerts across North America, Latin America and Europe.
After Hannah Montana, Osment’s TV credits include leading roles in the ABC Family comedy Young and Hungry, the FOX drama Almost Family, and the Netflix comedy Pretty Smart. Prior to Young Sheldon, Osment had a recurring role on the Chuck Lorre-created Netflix series The Kominsky Method, which starred Michael Douglas and the late Alan Arkin.
Osment first guest starred in a Season 5 episode of Young Sheldon as Mandy McAllister, a former weather girl who moves back in with her parents in Medford, Texas, where she meets Georgie Cooper.
Initially intended as a single guest apperance, Osment’s role expanded into a recurring character during the fifth season. She joined the main cast for the show’s sixth and seventh seasons as Mandy and Georgie developed a relationship and eventually started a family together.
Osment was born in Los Angeles, California. Her father, Eugene Osment, is an actor whose credits include Minority Report and A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Osment’s older brother, Haley Joel Osment, is an actor best known for films including The Sixth Sense, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, and Secondhand Lions.
